The following is to keep you informed about an additional Farm Bill Information meeting.  Please feel free to share it with other farmers.

In the August and November Farm Bill Information Meetings held in Montgomery County, I had requests for computer training on the FAPRI decision tool available at the FAPRI website:  http://www.fapri.missouri.edu/farmers_corner/tools/index.asp?current_page=farmers_corner

I have worked with FAPRI to add a date for Dr. Peter Zimmel to go through the FAPRI Farm Bill Decision Tool.  He will be at the January 29 Montgomery County Soils & Crops Conference in the Montgomery County High School (Hwy 19), in the computer laboratory for  Two sessions:

6:00 –7:00 p.m. and again at 7:30 –8:30 p.m.

There is limited space,  so registration for the Farm Bill Computer Decision Tool Training portion of the Soils & Crops Conference is mandatory.

There is room for 20 people maximum at each session.

Call the Montgomery County Extension Center to register:  (573)564-3733.

Please register for the early or late session, but not both.

Peter recommends bringing  the following information to help with your specific operation:  base acres, crop & yield by year from 2008 – 2012 and any crop insurance information (optional, but helpful).

If you have question about the meeting, call me.

If you have specific questions about the Farm Bill—please direct the questions to Ken Bolte (636-583-5141) or Mary Sobba (573-581-3132).
